Our Story

Built by Thomas Cubitt, 1841

The Gallery was built in 1841 by Thomas Cubitt as part of his Pimlico Triangle — the same master builder responsible for shaping Belgravia and Bloomsbury. It opened as the Perseverance, became the Queen of Denmark in 1984, and took its current name in 1992.

Three names, one building, one corner of Pimlico. Whether you're in for a pint, a plate of fish and chips, or a bed for the night, you're spending it inside a genuine piece of Victorian London — not a themed reproduction of one.
